My name is Olga Boiko. I have been a lampwork artist and jewelry designer for nearly 16 years. I’m pleased to welcome you to the website of my studio “Glass Magic”.
I’ve loved glass all my life. I admired the play of light in cathedral stained-glass windows and spent hours gazing at antique glass tableware in museums. I especially loved jewelry with glass beads. I’ve always wanted to make something like that myself.
In May 2010, I bought my first torch and tried to make beads. Although I did not achieve immediate success, I was completely delighted by the beauty and plasticity of molten glass. There was no doubt that I wanted to do this particular craft.
At that time, all the specialized educational institutions were far away from me. I had access to only a couple of books and a few articles, with no opportunities for in-person guidance or workshops. I had to teach myself by carefully reading available materials, watching for small details in photographs, and learning through trial and error. Inspired by the works of art created by famous artists, I tried to replicate their remarkable glassworking techniques, often facing technical challenges on my own.
